Alma, a middle-aged woman who is hospitalized with a serious illness, forms a friendship with Grace, a young nurse. Alma, despite her circumstances, is very positive and upbeat, while Grace is depressed and anxious. Alma attempts to impart wisdom and provide a positive and hopeful outlook for Grace.
Through a series of flashbacks, Alma tells Grace about her colorful youthful experiences living in a warehouse loft with a group of artists in the late 1980’s. Grace becomes curious about these old friends but Alma has been out of touch with them for many years...
